telescope-net Accounts

Below we describe all of the account types which are currently supported. If you would like more information, relating to any of these items, please contact us here.

Free account - users Individuals can sign up to this website for free, and receive an account. This free account will give the user the following:
>> A login and access to the system.
>> Access to the free telescope networks. Currently, only the network named "standard" is free.
>> Access to information about these free networks, and the member telescopes of these networks.
>> The ability to submit requests to the free telescope networks, and to have up to two image requests pending at any one time.
>> All acquired images emailed to your nominated address as soon as possible. These images are also available through the telescope-net website for a minimum of 30 days.
>> The ability to run your own images through our analysis pipeline (coming soon).
Free account - telescope operators People who wish to "plug their telescope in" to the network may also do so free of charge. In addition to the services outlined in the "Free account - users" section above, telescope operators can also:
>> Integrate their telescope with the system.
>> Control exactly when access to your telescope is allowed.
>> Join your telescope to an existing network (please note that restrictions may apply to joining some networks).
>> If not joined to a network, you can allow up to 20 individuals access to your telescope.
myNetwork - telescope operators Telescope operators can create their own telescope network for their telescopes, and allow any number of people to have access to that network.
myUsers - telescope operators Telescope operators can create their own "class" of users. This user group can be given access to particular telescope networks or methods of creating and submitting image requests.
